TOWN ACHIEVE RECORD SEASON TICKET SALES!
Huddersfield Town Chairman-elect Dean Hoyle today praised the Club's fans for breaking the record of number of season tickets bought since the move to the Galpharm Stadium but urged those fans yet to purchase not to leave things too late!
At lunchtime today (Wednesday), the Club sold its 9,500th season ticket for the 2008/09 campaign - meaning it surpassed the Galpharm Stadium record of 9,478 season tickets sold in 1999/00.
Board member Hoyle told the Club's official website that this was 'fantastic news'.
"The backing for the £100 Adult Season Ticket offer has been absolutely superb and I'd like to thank the fans for their support," Dean told htafc.com.
"Having said that, I know we still have fans that will be waiting to get their season ticket and although they still have until May 23rd to take advantage of the special Centenary price, my advice to them is don't leave it too late to get your seat!"
The record number of season ticket sales in the history of the Club is 14,000 in the summer of 1970, when the Terriers had just been promoted to what is now the Premiership as Division Two Champions and Hoyle is hopeful that we can match that target.
"That has to be the aim," Dean admitted. "The fans' backing of the Club has been brilliant for so many years - now it is time for the Club to give something back to the fans."
