PATRICK STEWART JOINS TOWN FAITHFUL
Huddersfield Town's most famous supporter - and now the proud Chancellor of the town's University - has backed the Club's season ticket campaign for the Centenary year.
Hollywood film and television star Patrick Stewart today bought his £100 season ticket and admits that it is an exciting time to be a Town fan.
Speaking from New York, Mirfield-born Stewart said: "Selling season tickets for £100 is a fantastic scheme and one which I hope will galvanise even more support behind Town. It is a very important year in the history of the Club and it would be fitting if we could gain promotion in front of a bumper crowd."
The Club's enterprising scheme is aimed at filling the stadium and attracting the next generation of Town supporters.
It took just ten days for the Club to sell 7500 season tickets and equal the number sold during the whole of last season. And with 9,000 sold by Tueday (May 6) morning, the message from the Club to those supporters who have not yet bought theirs is to do so as soon as possible!
