Another product of the Town Academy, Nathan signed his first professional deal in August of 2001 and made his first-team debut a month later when he started the 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.

The elder of Town's two Clarke brothers, Town's Vice-Captain will be looking to put an injury-ravaged 2006/07 season behind him as he tries to rediscover the form that saw him named as one of the top 50 players outside the Premiership in both 2005 and 2006. The centre-back can deliver a massive long-throw and is very good at timing his tackles; he is contracted until the summer of 2010.
