Sheffield-born striker Luke joined the Terriers permanently in the summer of 2006 from Sheffield United, following a previous successful loan period with Town a year earlier.
Luke finished last season as Town's top-scorer and has netted roughly one goal every two starts throughout his career. He has been lethal in front of goal wherever he has played, having previously enjoyed successful spells with Oldham Athletic, Stockport County, Chesterfield and Chester City. A tireless worker who covers every blade of grass during a game, Luke has good strength and a great positional sense and he is contracted with Town until the summer of 2009.
