
Town kept the pressure on for the automatic promotion places with a comfortable win at Walsall this afternoon. Graham opened the scoring with superb strike from distance in the first half which was added to late on by substitute Pawel Abbott. Despite the Saddlers pulling a goal back at the death three points for Town were never in doubt and Andy Booth added the third at the whistle finishing Pav's shot-cum-cross with a blistering header.
The home side had the first effort on goal on four minutes which came as a result of a corner after Danny Adams had been forced to head the ball behind. Saddlers' skipper Keates' corner found Westwood in the centre and Martyn McIntosh slid in to block the defender's effort.
It was Keates who had the home side's next effort on seven minutes when Tosh's half clearance fell to the Walsall captain who snap-shot from the edge of the area rolled wide of Rachubka's right-hand post.
Loan striker Graham was the first Town player to have an pop at goal when, on ten minutes, he received the ball on the right of the Walsall area and hit a powerful effort from a tight angle which never troubled Andy Oakes in the goal.
Steve Claridge was next to test Rachubka when a long punt up field was touched into the path of the veteran striker who twisted and turned on the edge of the area, create space for a shot but his effort was straight at the Town stopper.
On 19 minutes Boothy went close with a powerful header after latching onto a free-kick from the left flank which was swung to the back post by Mark Hudson.
The mass of travelling fans were sent into raptures on twenty-five minutes when loan striker David Graham found the back of the net with a super striker. Incisive build-up from Town saw Schofield, Adams and the Brandon involved, the latter laying the ball off to the Scotsman who hit a brilliant first-time effort past the diving Oakes from twenty-five yards.
On the half hour mark the injured Mads Timm had to be replaced by Kevin James.
Graham went looking for his second with ten minutes of the half remaining when he latched onto a clever ball over the top of the Walsall defence by Schofield. The bounce beat the onrushing keeper but Graham could not get the necessary accuracy as he lifted the ball over Oakes.
With five minutes of the half remaining both Claridge and Clarke were booked after a minor altercation on the edge of the area.
In the second minute of injury time Dean Keates went close to levelling the scores with a well struck free kick which was just wide of Rabs' left hand post.

On 47 minutes indecision in the Town defence almost allowed the home side an equaliser. Fortunately Clarke managed to clear before Constable could get his shot away, the Saddler, claiming he was held back, was subsequently booked for his protestations.
Brandon had Town's next effort on target after a series of passes on the edge of the Walsall area but his left footed effort spun wide of Oakes' left hand post.
Oakes made a superb save on 55 minutes to deny SchofieldTown's second. Good work in the build up by Graham and Schofield saw the midfielder with just the keeper to beat but Oakes did well to rush from his line and block Schofield's shot.
On 59 minutes Fox was booked for scything down Taylor-Fletcher.
Andy Booth rattled the cross bar on the hour mark when he latched onto a Clarke long throw from the left flank. The Town talisman rose at the near post and his deft flick beat Oakes but smacked the angle.
Referee Stroud then booked David Mirfin on 65 minutes
On 67 minutes Simon Osborn was replaced by Michael Leary.
On 70 minutes the home side were reduced to ten men when Westwood received a straight red-card for swinging a leg at Andy Booth.
Substitute Michael Leary almost handed Walsall a life line on 77 minutes when he collected the ball on the edge of the area and hit a low effort which was just wide of Rabs' left hand post.
On 78 minutes scorer Graham was replaced by Pawel Abbott. He left the field to a chorus of 'There's only on David Graham'.
Within three minutes of taking the field Pawel Abbott added a second for Town. After chesting the ball to Schofield he received the ball back from the midfielder and hit a first time effort which rattled the inside of the post and fell kindly back into his path for him to tap in from two yards,
As the fourth official signal three minutes injury time Leary pulled one back for the home side. The sub picked up the ball on the edge of the area and hit an effort which took a deflection on its way past Rachubka which titally wrong-footed the keeper.
Town replied immediately and Andy Booth restored the two goal cushion. A Fletch short corner was touched short to Pav who brushed off two defenders and hit a curling shot from the left flank which appeared to be Oakes' but Booth stole in and hammered home a superb diving header.
