HAROLD MOSBY: 1926-2007
Born 25th June 1926, former Huddersfield Town player Harold Mosby passed away on Friday 15th June after a long battle with cancer.
80-year old Harold leaves behind daughter-in-law Alyson and grandsons Daniel and Lewis, all of whom are Rotherham United supporters.
Harold played for the Terriers in the war years. Making three appearances for the club in 1945, his debut came in the 2-0 win over Middlesbrough at Leeds Road on 28th April. He scored during Town's 4-2 win over Barnsley and he followed that up with another goal during Town's 3-2 loss to Gateshead. During his short time at Town, he appeared alongside legends such as Ken Willingham, Eddie Boot and the inimitable Jimmy Glazzard.
Described as a stocky winger who was speedy and brave, Harold also played for Rotherham United, Scunthorpe United, Worksop, Crewe Alexandra, Kings Lynn, Scarborough, Burton Albion, Denaby United, Rawmarsh Welfare and Wigan.
The thoughts of everyone connected with Huddersfield Town are with his family at this time.
