Town progressed to the second round of the FA Cup sponsored by E.ON after a dramatic win over League Two side Accrington Stanley at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

Andy Ritchie's men started well but soon found themselves 2-0 down thanks to goals from Peter Cavanagh and Paul Mullin; however, a brace from Malvin Kamara leveled things before substitute Luke Beckett grabbed an injury-time winner.
