The inaugural 'Ladies that Lunch' event, held yesterday in the Panasonic Suite at the Galpharm Stadium, was a tremendous success with over 120 guests enjoying an afternoon of fine dining and fashion.

Pictured right are the people behind this brilliant success story - Lisa Devine and Tracy Nelson of the Huddersfield Town Commercial Department, Supervisor of Menswear at House of Fraser Andrew McDermott, Guerlain's Nicky Marzanani and House of Fraser Operations Manager Alison Baldwin.

Guests were treated to Champagne on arrival and a delicious two-course meal before sitting back and watching a fantastic fashion show featuring clothing from leading brands such as Therapy, Linea, Principles, Coast and Kookai. Models included several of the female staff at the football club and first-team players Malvin Kamara and Michael Collins.

Finally guests were given a make-up demonstration courtesy of Guerlain.

Each table had a beautiful arrangement of flowers courtesy of the Yorkshire Rose, Birkby and every guest was automatically entered into a free raffle with prizes including official Huddersfield Town merchandise and vouchers for House of Fraser.

Commercial Manager Tracy Nelson told htafc.com that she was delighted with the afternoon.

"Our inaugural 'Ladies that Lunch' event was an unparalleled success and we're all delighted that it went so well," Tracy explained.

"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank House of Fraser and Guerlain for their invaluable contribution in both the planning of this event and on the day.

"We are now going to make 'Ladies that Lunch' a regular event and we expect that the next will take place in October or November - keep checking the official website for the exact date!"
